Your videos
Video Lite compresses your videos inside your browser or on your PC. The files are never uploaded to any server — not to me, not to anyone. I don't see them, I don't keep them, and I can't recover them.
What the page stores
I don't use cookies or ads. The page stores in your own browser the theme and language you chose (in localStorage) and the compression engine, so it doesn't have to download it again (in the browser cache); none of that leaves your device, and you can delete it from your browser settings. To know how many people use Video Lite I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser: it counts visits in aggregate (which page, which site you came from, the browser and the approximate country) and can't be used to identify you or follow you across other sites.
Third-party services
The page is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and the compression engine is downloaded from jsDelivr. Like any website, those services receive technical connection data (for example, your IP address) to deliver the files, and they handle it under their own policies. The desktop app doesn't connect to the internet.
If you write to me
If you report a problem by email (Kierc117@hotmail.com), I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to answer you and fix the problem; I don't share or sell it. I will never ask for your video. I delete the conversation 90 days after the problem is solved, or sooner if you ask me at that same address. I don't copy your data anywhere else. If you write on Discord, Discord's privacy policy also applies.
Minors
Anyone can use Video Lite without giving any data at all. If you are under 13, please don't write to me yourself: ask your parent or guardian to do it. If someone under 13 writes to me, I answer once and delete their message. Discord requires you to be at least 13 (or older, depending on your country).
Who I am
Video Lite is a free tool by Erick Hernández (Zedran Labs, Mexico).
